Here you will find the writings of the poet Theodore Waterfield

What Love Does

On a journey where the moon is,
I found it fallen in the bushes,
a pale marble.
I said, come out,
hide in my hand
now smaller than the small,
how did your huge heart fall?
Did night drop you?
What made you disappear
and lay cold upon my palm?
Was it something said?
That you heard?

Did you finally fall in love?
The face you shone upon
turn away?
Little planet,
be huge again.
Take what love I have
and be bright.
Love returns.
It always returns,
someday.
Someday!
