Here you will find the writings of the poet Theodore Waterfield

Hanging Out

Beautiful day,
nine hours old
and ready to play.
What will you be
when you grow to noon?
Tall as a cloud
with friends in your room?
Will you look to the future
and how you will fly?
Have fun in the time
of afternoon’s sky?

Will you gather at supper
and tell everyone
what being alive
was like in the sun?
Later when night comes
into bloom,
will you stand
on the bluff of the
rising moon
and throw kisses
to the stars?
