Day Certain

Today, is the last day certain.
Or tomorrow if it comes.
I will set my clock by this day.
I will renew my vows this day.
I will look in the mirror
and ask myself,
how do you want to face the day?
With a smile?
With the face of love?
My expression when I look at children?
The tingle of rejoicing when beauty
faces me.
My forgiveness face,
the patience in my heart toward others.
My all day happy face on vacation
and the face I have in gratitude
for a world so generous in its giving.
