Here you will find the writings of the poet Theodore Waterfield

Finding Barbara

Take this with you,
a poem,
leaf on the shining shield
of a pool.
Calligraphy of words
from my heart,
confluence of hope
and regret,
spanning my life.

You turned in a dream,
radiant as sunlight
in a glass,
love in the silence
of your face.
Like a valentine
sent to a beloved
saying,
from somewhere’s childhood,
I’m yours.
