Here you will find the writings of the poet Theodore Waterfield

Mary’s Candles

Time is beautiful in you.
As if love settles inside your hours,
each cherished for its words,
pauses and laughter.
You are treasure.
Indestructible.
Flashing through your eyes,
your heart’s light
multiplies like stars.

Each of us carry away
every moment that you breathe,
every touch you give,
we receive,
and life is better.
Made calm in the shelter
of your care.
We are strong and share
with what God is, you.

Gravity between us.
Coordinates of infinity.
On shores, playing in wind and waves,
tucked in at night.
Words we take from each other,
to write letters to the world,
that come back to us in flowers,
because you are here,
true love, my love.
