Here you will find the writings of the poet Theodore Waterfield

London Subway

(Death of a Child)

Wake up child
in the airless tunnel.
This darkness
is the underside
of the sea.
Its tide has gone out
taking the light.
Sharks swim in the blood
of its currents.

The terrorists have
left you behind.
There was nothing they wanted.
The prayers of their death God
filled them with joy.
They will die
with your childhood
on their faces,
leaving behind
its empty cocoon.
