The crest of whole mountains
\nmove in the sky.
\nGlide weightless
\nwith their ponderous weight.
\nWho could have believed such a June?
\nSo dour,
\nfull of rags,
\nrain like leaking pipes,
\ncold,
\nwithout charm or comfort.
\nBut this sky
\nredeems the lost days,
\nyesterday\u2019s illness.
\nThe empty playgrounds
\nand people refusing to budge.
\nWhy does the weather
\nso affect me?
\nLike a lover,
\nwhose every smile and grimace
\nfloods me with delight or despair.<\/p>\n
I am a collage of wind and rain,
\nbarometric pressure,
\nand flashing storm.
\nBut today is doubly sweet,
\nbeing so sick,
\nand rising this morning
\nwith a healthy heart,
\na spirit restored.
\nThree eggs and toast,
\nand my grandsons Jack, Michael, and Mark
\ncoming over to play,
\nunder this blue sky,
\nthis pure air.
\nSo all is forgotten of the past,
\nand I live again,
