Why do scribblers write poetry
\nand poets write nothing?
\nBecause there\u2019s death in confronting
\nbeauty.
\nWounds no one can bear.
\nA search confronting inevitable loss.
\nPoets hide lest they be eaten,
\nthrown in the sea,
\nconsumed by the flames
\nof the faithful,
\nridiculed by fools and realists.<\/p>\n
They are fragile beings
\nwho whisper, I am fog
\nlooking for shape.
\nLaughter looking for joy.
\nI have as many gods as stars.
\nWords fly from my heart
\nlike birds looking for a country
\nwhere they are not hunted.
\nI write poems of air,
\nand die without remains.
