\nYet they say, earth is made of stardust,

\nWhat you are worth, my beloved,
\nis truly stardust
\nand moonlight,
\nand the blood flowing in a rose.
\nHow did the hard granite of the earth
\nfashion the soft joy of your smile,
\nand the continuing poetry

Perhaps dust contains something
\ncalled the word,
\nand it truly became light,
\nand built palaces of wings
\nand eyes and feet,
\nand a man who lets the dust
