Only so much can come into this old cave.
\nThis bag of darkness writing poems
\nin the shadows.
\nThere are so many bats I can\u2019t count them.
\nI watch them go into the night
\nand wonder why they don\u2019t love the sun?
\nAre they trying to capture the elusive stars?<\/p>\n
I could tell them it\u2019s hopeless,
\nbut then, why should they listen
\nto someone without wings?
\nSomeone that talks to the walls
\nand believes the echoes of his voice
\nis someone else.<\/p>\n
Someday I will leave the cave.
\nI will give up my shadows.
\nI will stop envying the bats
\nand walk into the darkness.
\nAnd in the morning the sun
\nwill find my remains,
\nand take me up into its heart,
\nin all the light of its beauty,
\nand the bats will forget me,
