I went to the last poems
\nof Pablo\u2019s life.
\nHow did they differ from
\nhis youth?
\nThe conquests of his maturity?
\nWhat does a poet say
\nas life trails out,
\nwhen he is dying?
\nI noticed how much shorter
\nhis odes had become,
\nhow much simpler his gaze.<\/p>\n
I felt the tenderness
\nand fragility of love,
\nthe pauses between his words.
\nThe poems charmed me.
\nTouched a spot in my soul
\nseldom touched.
\nAs if the eyes of a child
\nwere looking into mine,
\na selfless generosity,
\na playfulness.<\/p>\n
I am innocent
\nthe poems were saying.
\nA light is growing brighter
\ninside me.
\nThe shadows are fading away.
\nI want the world to embrace me.
\nI want my poems
\nreleased to the sky,
\nsaying everything left
\nI have inside me,
