How much seeing do I see?
\nThe green praying mantis
\nperches on the green
\nslender lily leaf,
\ninvisible or not.
\nSeeing will not tell you it\u2019s there,
\nseeing in the mind,
\nthe twig of a leg,
\nand the mantis was there.<\/p>\n
Seeing through the entrance of the dark
\nI can see a bat,
\nwing song of the night,
\nfluttering like a butterfly.
\nSo it is with people in their faces.
\nFaces are not people.
\nThe heart sees people,
\nin the colors we use to think with.<\/p>\n
So what is sight?
\nLooking through watery dimensions
\nare channel rivers
\nnot open to our eyes,
\nyet we see unerring
\nfish or mermaid as we please,
\nall a matter of seeing what we see,
\nthe virtual edge of galaxies and souls,
\nseen day or night,
