Is the geography of space our world?
\nLooking into everlasting shadows?
\nWhat is our entanglement with coasts,
\npoppies, walls of cloud?
\nTwilights shed of rain,
\nand the long breath we take
\nto love so much.
\nIf we refuse to close our eyes
\nthe stars take us.
\nThe razor\u2019s edge of day and night at
\nthe edge of our heart\u2019s caring.
\nBefore voyages or after,
\nnothing is so terrible as losing love,
\nor never waking to take
\none more kiss.<\/p>\n
What happens to the atoms
\nthat make us?
\nWhere is the information
\nof our souls going?
\nThe eminence of that sense
\nthat furnishes pen and paper
\nfor a poem,
\na pipe to play a song,
\nreed or silver flute.
\nWords that come of their own accord,
\nand are of themselves,
\ncontinents that hold
\nthe length and breath of dreams.
\nAre we a world in which space resides?
