The white lunar sun
\nis dissolved by the scimitar
\nof earth,
\nto a soft red pearl.
\nI raised my camera
\nto record the majesty
\nof the eclipse.<\/p>\n
Three titanic gods
\nin a shadow dance with each other.
\nMy infinitesimal fingers
\ngathering a jewel of ingenuous beauty,
\na profound glory of moon, planet
\nand star
\nin genuflection to each other.<\/p>\n
I took several pictures,
\nthen in humble exhaustion,
\nreturned to my bed.
\nA tired animal wanting its dreams
\nback,
\nthe wrap of its blanket around it,
\nand relief from the mighty cosmos
\nconducting a show,
\nin an empty theater,
