Three small boys play in two
\nsand boxes by my chair.
\nCreating the village of childhood,
\nits houses and walls.
\nLugging pails of water from the hose,
\nsculpturing their creations.
\nI watch the hummingbirds
\nappear and reappear,
\nlike quartz gleaming on a stone,
\nand I have quintessential beauty
\nserved on my plate,
\nfood beyond comprehension
