I was broken into pieces

\nto catch the silver
\nsmelted by the moon.
\nA tooth fell from my jaw
\nand swallowed by a mollusk,
\nbecame a pearl
\nworn by a girl
\nwho never tasted wine.<\/p>\n
My heart dissolved
\ninto yellow violets
\nlasting only hours,
\nephemeral as showers
\nin the spring.
\nPieces of me got scattered
\nin my letters
\nand tossed into baskets,
\neventually consumed by
\nrain and fire.
\nThings not claimed
\nwere autographs I left
\non windows,
\nthat lasted only minutes,
\nleaving a smudge,
