\nWhere did yesterday go?

That glow in the sky.
\nThat sky that outshone a sea.
\nA puppy ready to leap,
\nfull of fragrances.
\nA day ready to wear,
\nto travel in,
\nto say
\nwhat a wonderful day!
\nOne of a kind.
\nA poem in every moment.<\/p>\n
So where did I put it?
\nWhy is it not here?
\nThe door of my heart is wide open.
\nThe air is coming in.
\nDid it leave without saying goodby?
\nDid I not say thank you?
\nI was so busy on the phone.
\nI had errands to run.
\nI lost things I had to find.
\nI was going to go out to run.
\nI was not going to ignore its coming.
\nThe only wonderful day of its kind.<\/p>\n
It had eyes of welling water,
\ncheeks of rose,
\na smile that invited,
\npulled one in,
\nflirted,
\nand now it is gone,
\nthe door open,
\nthough its freshness lingers,
\nas if I am forgiven.<\/p>\n
Did I hear something?
\nYesterday,
\nis that you?
\nAre you coming back?
\nThere is a glow in the sky.
\nEverything is clean and clear.
\nPerhaps,
\nperhaps I\u2019m being forgiven,
\nanother chance!
\nToday, it seems
\nso like yesterday.
