I am putting my hands

\nCups for the drinking
\nof rain falling in April.
\nThe sky was burning last night.
\nOrange flames
\nrising above the cold world.
\nAdvent of winter.<\/p>\n
In the spring
\nthere will be tulips of fire,
\nlapis lazuli sky,
\nthe pale rose of the eclipsed moon.
\nI keep digging,
\nputting in the bulbs.
\nAs many rows as I can plant.
\nI emptied my pockets
\nto buy them.
\nGave away pleasures
\nto have them near me.<\/p>\n
To bring beauty
\nclose to my heart.
\nTo delight my little boys,
\nJackie and Michael.
\nTo open up in the plain garden,
\njewels created in the earth,
\nwhere we put the dead,
\nand show them,
\nfrom that sarcophagus,
\ncomes life again.
\nNothing is wasted.
\nNothing is lost.
\nI am teaching them
