\nof the barely understood
\norchard of my life.
\nSome are so clever,
\nyet they say nothing.
\nWhy?
\nWhat ignites the words?<\/p>\n
Why for that matter
\ndoes love occur to some,
\nto others
\nit is a hollow flute,
\nupon which songs are played,
\nbut nothing lives in the center.
\nLight traveling in a shaft,
\nsound resounding from a pipe.
\nLove between lips,
\na flavor,
\nan affectation.<\/p>\n
Mirror on the wall,
\nspeak to me.
\nLet me hear the poem inside you,
\nand then shatter.
\nI cannot bear your silence
