If heaven were a democracy
\nwould God be elected?
\nI cast my vote today for one person.
\nOne soul out of three hundred million,
\nto wisely lead brothers and sisters,
\nfriends and children,
\nmy most precious loves
\nthrough the wilderness of earth.<\/p>\n
I have committed an act of faith.
\nAs if I threw a stone
\nin the water of a vast ocean
\nand raised its level.
\nThat what I pray for can be done.
\nPreserve, honor, safeguard, lead,
\nand keep well the little band of people
\nwho are worth the universe to me.
\nThat are loved by a God
\nwhose household is bigger
\nthan all that can be imagined,
\nmore sacred than the most holy
\narches of the world.<\/p>\n
And like this candidate on earth
\nfor whom I pray,
\nthat in the wider realm of heaven,

\nthat God for immaculate purity,
