I am an odd sort.
\nI pray without any religion to speak of.
\nI talk to God and answer myself.
\nI leave the door open when I sleep.
\nWave at the empty sky.
\nTouch stones and ask them
\nare you lonely to be so old?<\/p>\n
I tell God, I don’t expect
\nor ask for anything, but I do want
\nthe world to be kind and gentle,
\nand children to have someone
\nto play with,
\nand all the stories being lived,
\nbe heard and read,
\nand rewritten when they’re sad,
\nwith happy endings,
\nand my gratitude for holding me
\nwhen I’m cold.<\/p>\n
