In low earth orbit
\nI see where a star fell last night.
\nWhere the wind passed

\nThe cadence of the sea
\nflocked with white wings

And our worrying of the planet goes on

\npatched fields,
\nthe tapers of candles
\ngoing out at dawn.
\nIn low earth orbit
\nI hear the silence of space,
\nexperience our inching
\nfrom the mouse hole
\nwhere we were born.<\/p>\n
For this instant in time
\nwe are touching the sleeves
\nof the gods.
\nPerhaps with their blessing
\ngoing on a phantasmal journey
\nwe can only guess at.
\nPerhaps,
\nto encounter the almighty itself,
\nand become as gods ourselves,
\nborn from imaginal atoms
\ngoing somewhere,
