I threw myself

\nI belonged to nothing

\nA train had crushed me
\nlike a silver cup beneath its wheels.
\nI shone untarnished for a day
\nand then the cloud
\nthat waits to eat the moon,
\nswallowed me up,
\nand I remembered only a kiss,
\nbut not the mouth
