Last night
\nI looked at bats in the twilight.
\nTheir silent voices
\ncalling to the opening stars,
\nthe cicadas screeching in the trees,
\nand I listened to music
\nI could imagine,
\nhear with the chambers
\nof my old ears restored.<\/p>\n
Life is what is let inside!
\nI will open the windows again,
\nand hold up my empty arms,
\nand perhaps an embrace
\nwill fall from heaven,
\nand the sea will come back
\nwith its music,
\nand I can talk in another language,
\nand take a place
\nin the kingdom of stars and bats,
