\na kiss pressed moist from my hand,

\nand feel me in the wash of the waves,
\nthe sweet tint of decay and freshness,
\na half moon shore,
\nlike arms welcoming white braids
\nof melting snow,
\nclouds slipping in like ships
\nready to be moored?<\/p>\n
Would you find me in the stone
\nI left on a concrete pile,
\nrising like a mesa on a sandy desert,
\nsaying, pick me up,
\nthere are hidden messages
\nin my hardness,
\na last good-by,
\na kiss,
\na moan,
\na longing stare as I watched you,
\nas long as time existed,
\nand I forgot my own existence.<\/p>\n
Forever was so long,
\nand now I have no way to recover you,
\nor the afternoon of sea watching,
\nhaving nowhere to go but here,
\nwanting to go nowhere,
\nwanting it all to never pass on.
\nTo sit and share you with the sea,
\nnot telling you,
\nI saw the end of it all,
\nas a man given a peek into death.
\nAnd taunted
\nwith the mystery of his life,
\nand how love
\nfalls over the edge of its cup,
\nand leaves a trail of burning grass.<\/p>\n
The smoke of many tears,
\nthe shout of love discovered,
\nand love gone away,
\ntaken through the net of one\u2019s fingers.
\nAnd discover again
\nthe place we shared,
\nwhere memory lingers,
\nand I leave a cynosure for you to find,
