The arms of winter
\nreach minute by minute,
\nday by day,
\nto the horizon of spring.
\nThe quiet of the solstice,
\na silent bell.
\nI listen to an age,
\nthe cave of time.<\/p>\n
This ellipse of seasons,
\nwhen I reach
\ninto the dream of earth,
\nmyself a dream,
\na spiritus shed of daily labor,
\nand touch a spirit,
\nthat shares the shadow
\nof itself with me.
\nAs if saying,
\nfor a moment all stars are one,
\nall touching, love,
\nall dark, also light.<\/p>\n
The solstice opens its door,
\nwhere I watch the fall of snow,
\neach flake,
\na work reciting
