Yesterday I opened the journal
\nof myself and said,
\nOh…! oh…, oh…,
\nas if light coming out of total darkness
\nscorched my eyes.
\nAs though the wind
\nhad broken through the rafters,
\nand something echoed
\nthrough the roof.
\nA song I had never heard.
\nA voice that struggled to be free,
\nto be loved,
\nto go out into the sky
\nand dissolve in silence.<\/p>\n
That is what I read in the journal,
\nin its poems,
\nin the words that someone uttered,
\nwho dared for a moment
\nto write a rain song,
\na red lament,
\nconfront the sweetness
\nand death of their life.
\nSaying things familiar,
\noh so familiar.
\nCan anyone explain their soul?
\nI can not,
\nand those who deny their soul,
\nkill themselves,
