In the beginning the cosmos slept in
\na bed called singularity.
\nWhether it was born
\nor just happened along no one knows.
\nHow much is nothing?
\nHow long is forever?
\nHow dark is emptiness?<\/p>\n
But then, a then happened.
\nAn explosion,
\nand then time,
\nand then fire,
\nand then light,
\nand then life,
\nand then thought,
\nand then a question,
\nwhat\u2019s happening?<\/p>\n
And then
\nour eyes tell us,
\nthe universe is expanding,
\nand then we find
\nthe edge of the world
\nis going faster and faster
\naway from us,
\ngetting bigger and bigger,
\nand we ask like curious children,
\nwhy?
\nWhat is it, world,
\nyou\u2019re running from?
\nWhy is it you don\u2019t stop growing?
\nAre you going somewhere?
\nWhy do you scatter wings and eyes,
\nenormous hearts and tears.
\nMake valley\u2019s surrounded
\nby bracelets of snow,
\nand fill them with flowers,
\nand never look back,
\nseeing us wave,
\nasking why.
\nWhy do we have a fate
\nthat starts and ends,
\nborn of a will-o\u2019-the-wisp
