Here you will find the writings of the poet Theodore Waterfield

The End of the World

I am vitally concerned
with the end of the world.
Where will my little ones go?
Who will take care of them?
Will God be more difficult to see?
Does this mean my children
will have no more gold mornings
to play in?
And who will keep the streets
clean in nothing land?

How will clocks run
if there’s no time left?
Will birthdays disappear?
Books stop being written?
No good movies to see?
No babies to welcome in the world?
And who will put up
a no vacancy sign?
And tell people on New Year’s Eve,
the party’s over?
