One Smile at a Time

In time there may be time
to live through the impossible once.
To talk to God climbing a tree.
To rebuild the castles in a sandbox.
To jump into the sea of nothing
at the edge of the universe,
or meet the girl of my heart twice,
and remember who we were.
In time there’s time enough
to be a winner or loser,
or perhaps no chance at all,
which is where I’ll make my bet,
grateful for the one and only
life I’ll ever have.
