There are so few of you,
the waves said to my aloneness
on the beach.
We are a multitude!
Our numbers have no number!
I nodded.
We are the white carnations
of the sea!
One by one we lay our flowered selfs
on the shore,
and it is over.
I nod again.
I love your beauty, I said,
each petal more beautiful
than before.
I never tire of watching you.
In my dreams
I hear you crash
yards away,
my arms
full of your soft virginity.
So many,
for so few.
